My wife was taken to the Balfour hospital with suspected cellulitis last year.
Once the surgeon had assessed her, it was decided that she needed surgery as soon as possible, so they made arrangements for her to go to theatre to be operated on.
What followed was a further six operations, every other day to continually remove any infection and finally close the opening.
The anesthetists, surgeons and HDU nurses were all so very thorough with their work and went many extra miles to ensure that she had the best treatment and that I was looked after as well.
What was good (sorry, more than two words):
All of the staff working so hard and theatre operations being performed with little delay, so much so, some were being done on weekends.
What could be improved (sorry, more than two words):
To have the same level of dialysis facilities as Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
How did you feel (sorry, more than two words):
Very thankful for saving my wife's life and being so well treated and looked after.
