"Diabetes course"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Diabetes service

(as the patient),

A recent review with my doctor I was told that I was borderline in developing type 2 diabetes. I had no symptoms that I was at risk and was surprised that this was the case, I was asked if I would like to attend a diabetes prevention course and half heartedly said yes.

I did attend the course and thoroughly enjoyed the pleasantly delivered presentation with tea/coffee provided. The seriousness of the condition was a life changing moment for me and brought home that I need to change my diet and lifestyle which I have now done so.

I haven't gone on a diet as such but just made changes to the type of food that I eat and walk more. I have certainly use my car less than usual now and save petrol as well. Thank you Bromley Healthcare.
