I had to attend Burton A&E on Tuesday (05/05/2015) afternoon and my care was efficient and speedy considering the number of patients who were also waiting to be seen. I was examined and investigated, I believe I received 10/10 care. The doctors then told me I would be staying in overnight which I was extremely panicked about, I have never been in hospital before! I was then looked after in an assessment ward, they were extremely helpful and kind whilst I was feeling very unwell, tired and panicked. I was then told I was moving to the Gynaecology ward so that I could get some rest, I couldn't fault this ward either! Friendly staff and made me feel very comfortable. Later the same night I was moved to Ward 30, Burton Clinic. This is where I stayed for 2 days and 2 nights. The care was superb from all members of staff including the cleaners as well. This was a very difficult and scary experience for me and every staff member I met took the time to sit down with me to talk. Just to add, I also was seen by the Haematology department who were informative and efficient. I am glad I was seen by such a strong and caring team. Fantastic care in general from different departments and I would recommend this hospital to anyone!
"Unplanned admission."
