"After 9 months on the waiting list... No..."

Last August i was referred to the NHS for a wisdom to be removed! Thankfully this tooth isn't causing me any pain as of yet.. As it took 5 months on the waiting list to even get a check up on the NHS. I was fully checked over by the nurse and mentioned i was going on holiday in April, they reassured me the waiting list would be longer than that... I received no official appointment date, and so went on my holiday in april. To which i arrived home to a letter that told me 'i was to be removed from the waiting list if i didn't reply in 7 days....' As 7 days had obviously passed, i rang the receptionist. They were uninterested in my case and practically blamed my removal because i'd not made them aware i was on holiday! Absolutely disgusted i have to pay for this service!
