This is a copy of a thank you letter that was recieved from a patient following a Directorate Recovery Event at Chiltern Day Care Unit for Male PD patients at Rampton Hospital.
I am just writing to let you know that I am very grateful for the recent events that Jacqui and Kath have facilitated at Chiltern. I have had a particuarly difficult few months and on Thursday 23rd April 2015 I was privileged to be part of the Saint Georges celebrations at Chiltern. Not only was it good to be off the ward, away from the ongoing life and events of a busy treatment ward; but it was fabulously restful to have fish, chips and peas out of a carton amongst other patients from the other wards who I dont normally see/speak with. Also, catching up with the other patients who I've not had opportunity to be with for a while, eating together informally.
After we had eaten, we had some fresh air, sang songs, played pool and scrabble. It was a lovely sunny day and without emphasising the point it felt like a holiday, a true break from normal routines, full timetables and a proper chill out.
So I am writing to say thank you for it's organisation and facilitation and please pass on my thanks to Kath and Jacqui too for always going the extra mile. I appreciate their hard work and yours very much.
With grateful prayers hoping Saint George, Saint Jade and Our Lady would pray for us and our Country.
"Nursing Staff at Chiltern Day Care Unit (Rampton Hospital) always go the extra mile!"
