"Care in the night"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

Disgusted at the treatment of my very independent father being treat like dog, after having a mild stroke and going to the stroke clinic to to keep moving and doing as much as he can by himself, the night staff proceeded (after the day staff allow him to press the call button so they can assist him getting up for the toilet) to not allow him out of his bed and to urinate in a bottle he is able to walk by himself just needs little assistance getting in and out of bed. After twelve hours lied in bed not allowed to move from that spot he woke with less movement than the night before where he got the assistance require an absolute joke and disgusted, I understand staffing issues but not laziness of staff. How is forcing him to stay in bed constantly meant to help his rehabilitation? He is a pensioner who works 5 days a week and runs his own business who in this case has had his respect and dignity as well as his independence taken from him

We would be pleased to arrange for this matter to be investigated if the family would like to contact us directly.
