"pleasantly surprised"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

After my surgery date for my hand was altered then altered back again , I finally arrived on D5 at 7am I found the care to be excellent from the nurses to the anethetist and surgeon they all made me feel at ease. As soon as I came back to the ward within 10 mins I was given 2 cups of tea water and 2 lots of toast. As I had surgery in my right hand and I had weakness in my left from a stroke several years previously I was struggling a little although I said nothing it was noticed and one of the nurses immediately came back with a straw and made sure the tea was not to hot to drink that way. They phoned my husband to come and get me and helped me to get dressed whilst my husband waited the staff that day were all very pleasant and caring.

Thank you for your kind comments. I hope you are recovering well from your operation. I will pass your comments to the surgery team and staff on D5. Kieren Done Complaints and Customer Service Team Manager
