"Issues raised at Community Meeting on Thurland Ward"

About: Forensic mental health / Low secure services

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

During our April community meeting on Thurland Ward we raised the following issues

We would like a Nintendo Wii because it is something we can do together and can also aid fitness.

We would like a new TV in the communal area as the picture can be fuzzy at times. It is not easy to access the plugs at the back for using games consoles or DVD player.

Please can we also use our mobile phones for longer periods of time?

thank you for your posting about the issues raised at the ward community meeting

The nintendo Wii has arrived and we are speaking to the ward activity nurse about getting some games for it.

A replacement TV has arrived and we have asked the estates department to come and put it up.

I am aware that the Junior Matron for the service has been reviewing the mobile phone procedure and this has been addressed in another posting but the outcome is that it has been agreed that you will be able to use your mobile phones until 10pm in the evening
