I would like to say that when I attended the department they couldn't have been more professional I went in with a suspected angina attack I was seen with in 5 mins of arrival had huge amount of test which showed id actually got a blood clot which they immediately started treating me for and sent me up to the high dependence ward ,the staff in this ward couldn't do enough .I couldn't believe how busy this ward is. The only problem was at 10.00 at night on the second night I was moved to another ward ,then at 1.30 in the morning moved completely across the hospital to amethyst ward .this is were I think you are not seen as a patient but a bed space when you are in for treatment how can moving a patient at that kind of time and expect them to have a fast recovery . I had an mri scan for the first time the staff again were really pleasant and helpful couldn't ask for anymore. the problem lies in that they are supposed to be short of beds yet it took 3 days to get the results so I had to stay in for that time waiting for them I didn't see a doctor for that period up until they came with the results . the nurses and all the staff on amethyst ward were very pleasant and had time for you despite been very busy the hole ward was also exceptionally clean id like to thank all the staff for making a stay in hospital very pleasant . The only real fault with the hospital that I could find apart from long weight for results was the food which I found dreadful it had been in the warming ovens so long it was dry tasteless and every meal seamed to taste the same awful, the four other people on the ward said the same had a salad even that was tasteless all the soups tasted the same off watery nothing this badly lets the hospital down
