"standards slipping everywhere"

I have had cause to use the Benenden twice. The first time for an varicose vein where when I turned up for the treatment day they had lost my notes. The consultant then injected a few surface veins and discharged me. Problem therefore not treated and I went to the NHS instead. Second visit for ENT with a very brusque consultant who explained nothing. Again I returned to the NHS for this to be dealt with properly. I keep the Benenden on to get access to consultant opinion quickly. I will never use the hospital itself again. I did instigate the complaints process but that was as much use as a chocolate tea pot.
