"Gynaecology day surgery"

I had to write to say how impressed I was and I really want all this information to be fed back to the staff involved. I went in for a straight forward procedure under GA. I am very anxious about GA and hospitals. The gynaecologist here is outstanding and has a wonderful bedside manner, making sure that they take as much time as you need to explain procedure and ask any questions. The gynaecologist even nipped out between procedures when I was wait and I am sure they only did this to fill the gap While I was waiting alone at this point. The anaesthetist was also wonderful and I eventually opted for a GA and I would now feel a lot calmer should I ever need to return for one. My aftercare in the channel day ward was exceptional and the nurses was in such good humour and we laughed and all felt so relaxed. I was in pain but up and out of my bed ready to go home very soon. I couldn't fault my care there and I really would like every member of staff there on this occasion to be thanked for their amazing work and to keep it up. It is reassuring to know people like this work at my local hospital. I feel that I will be in good hands. Thank you to all of you.
