"Appalling service"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I was in the eye casualty department for 7 hours. Most of the staff where rude. The only staff who where professional and showed any empathy where the receptionists. Patients are meant to be prioritised. There not as young children waited just as long. If you can try to find an alternative to the queens.

I am sorry to read that, when you visited the Ophthalmology department, you felt some of our staff were rude. We expect all of our staff to take PRIDE (Passion, Responsibility, Innovation, Drive and Empowerment) in the care they provide to our patients. Please contact me through our PALS team with more information on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
