What I liked

Every member of staff that dealt with me did a great job despite it being obvious at times that they were struggling for resources, especially in the Emergency Area (A&E).

They were all good humoured, positive, obliging and made everything as stress free as possible. They took everything in their stride, even some of my fellow patients whose manner I was appalled by.

What could be improved

The usual NHS things:

Waiting times at A&E.

Hospital food, I know the budget is tight but it really is awful, at least it could be hot.

General environment, most of the hospital is tired and dated.

Shower facilities, shower was broken.

Anything else?

No-one would be in hospital by choice so it's never going to be a pleasure. I was on Capel ward which although bright and modern isn't too big on home comforts as it is a short stay ward.

What is important though is the care and I cannot fault that. From arriving at A&E to being discharged the Doctors, Nurses and staff did a fantastic job. Thank you.
