"Care and attention after suspected DVT"

About: Ipswich Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I arrived home after long haul flight and had pains in my calf muscles.

I went to my GP at 09: 50. Went to hospital path lab for blood samples at 14: 00hrs. and received a call from my GP saying she would like to discuss the results of my blood tests at 15: 50.

Gave me anticoagulant injection and referred me to the hospital. By 19: 00hrs the next day I had had ultrasound tests on both legs an confirmed no DVT. Such a relief.
