I received surgery just last week which was my first such experience. Naturally I was apprehensive. There was absolutely no need. The team was excellent throughout. Prior to my admission my questions to the surgeon's secretary were patiently answered and on the day of the operation itself each team member came to meet me before surgery to explain their role. There was a such a warm and professional atmosphere throughout the department that I was actually fairly relaxed before the operation took place. Nothing was too much trouble. I had my own immaculately clean room and bathroom and was regularly checked during recovery by the surgeon, anaesthetist and the excellent nursing team. I do not usually write reviews however I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to the consultant and their team and also hopefully put others who may be awaiting their surgery at ease. From my experience they will be in exceptionally good hands.
