"Admitted with serious tonsillitis"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I was admitted on Monday 20th April by ambulance when I couldn't swallow my own spit!! I've never had tonsillitis before and felt I was taking up valuable resources for something silly however at no point did anyone make me feel like that and from the minute I arrived everyone was so kind, considerate and caring. I just wanted to thank all of the staff at QA for making me feel so much better and for looking after me so brilliantly. I cannot fault the service even down to providing me with wash bits and bobs and even a pen for some crossword puzzles! The service was second to none and I haven't stopped singing QA and it's staffs praises! Thank you!

Hi Jess! Thank you so much for writing in about your recent admission to QAH. We are so pleased to hear how positive your experience in the Emergency Department was and that our staff supported you throughout. If you would like to praise them directly, then please feel free to email our inbox at PHT.Pals@porthosp.nhs.uk and we will happily pass it on for you. I will of course pass this feedback on to them too as I am sure they will be just as pleased to read this as I was. Best wishes Leanne Complaints Officer
