"Admitted for acute migraine"

Admitted twice, on both occasions for 3 days in nov 2014 each time for acute migraine. First time merely rehydrated,brain scan, but migraine not sorted when discharged. Ydh seems poorly organised for treating this condition. When admitted on the 2nd occasion i was Left on a trolley in the corridor of the ward for approx an hour! Last thing you need! I Didnt see a migraine nurse until my second admission and that was on the eve of the first day. A migraine nurse wasnt mentioned during my first spell in hosi. Why? Migraine nurse told me i needed to be prescribed a tripton med, as other pain relief for migraine no good. They wrote that i needed a tripton on my notes. The next day ward nurse still trying to give me paracetamol, which the day before a doctor had already said that paracetamol was a waste of time and codeine was the 'scourge' of migraine sufferers, which again the nurse offered me the next day! Didnt get a tripton until i'd had to ask for it several times, to no avail, until late on the second day of my second stint in ydh as they had to wait for a doctor to sign it off. The agony contined! Low and behold within an hour of taking a tripton, guess what? - the migraine cleared! Nurses also keen to open curtains around my bed letting max light in to the bed which was the last thing a migraine sufferer needs! Had to keep getting up to shut them. Also on 2nd day, in extreme pain i had to go and find a nurse as faeces was all over the ward floor and bathroom floor! Nobody seemed aware! It was as if some docs and nurses have no idea how to treat migraine sufferers. The migraine nurse said they would come back and see me - they never did. A couple of nurses were brilliant in offering cold cloths for head and turning lights down, they were very caring, which made uo for a couple who for some reason left you feeling that you were a nuisance and 'in the way'. The food, when i was starting to feel abit better was inedible, i felt for those who were in for a long time as the food was appalling. Why was tripton medication not mentioned during my first spell in hospital? When it was the first thing advised to me by the migraine nurse that i needed. And why did i not see a migraine nurse during my first spell in hosi? Why were staff still offering me paracetamol and codeine when the migraine nurse had written on my notes that i needed to be prescribed a tripton, and a doctor had already said that codeine was the scourge of migraine sufferers? Come on ydh - listen to the migraine nurse please
