"my son was in for a day operation ..."

About: Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

my son was in for a day operation and from the minute we walked in the front door we were said good morning to by the cleaning staff. I cannot fault anything from this hospital. My son who isnt very good with needles was listened to when he said he didnt like them and was given an alternative instead - gas. The doctors, nurses and staff spoke to him first then to me just to check. When he wasnt well after his op he was given plenty of time to recover and we didnt feel like we were going to be thrown out because he took longer to feel better and we left quite late on in the evening. Marvellous hospital, surroundings, staff. Thank you.

What could be improved

signs for the car park inside the hospital and out. We parked at the front of the hospital because we had to be there by 7.30 in the morning so managed to get a space at the front. Walked through and tried to follow the signs of where we needed to be but after some help found them. But when we left in the evening my son who had the op and couldnt walk very well and we had to walk back to the car. We walked back the way we thought we came down stairs through corridors but couldnt see any car park signs. In the end we just followed the doctors and nurses who had just finished their shift.

Thank you for your positive and constructive feedback. The issues you raise about signs to the car park will be passed to the relevant hospital department.
