"Years Of Unbearable Agony Finally Brought Under..."

About: Orsett Hospital

My doctor and the team do not get enough credit for the work that they do. I would suspect that many patients who meet my doctor for the first time were in the same situation as me - the doctor was basically my last option for any hope of an even remotely improved quality of life. Imagine how clinically difficult his job and those of his team must be if many of their patients are in the position I was in. I had been abandoned by a major London hospitals pain management unit and had been over a year without even an appointment when finally I was referred here. Long story short, I can categorically confirm that the work done this team saved my life. I was reaching the point where I was planning an "exit strategy" let's call it. I had a drug pump implanted and my life changed for the better very quickly. Life is still not a bed of roses and I still have bad days. However, if it was not for the work of this team I would not even be here now. Recently a relative of mine was injured when his stationary car was hit at high speed from behind. He went through at least two pain consultants (he has the benefit of private medical cover) so I suggested he make an appointment for a consultation with with my doctor. Immediately my doctor began a program of treatment that is still ongoing. However, from my point of view, I have now been a patient for quite a few years. I would always recommend my doctor and their team without the slightest reservation.
