"Admission via A&E"

About: Southampton General Hospital

At the end of March 2015 I was diagnosed in the A&E department as having had a heart attack. I was then transferred to CCU where I stayed ( despite a brief visit to E3) until I was able to go for an angiogram to diagnose what the state of my heart was. After this I stayed in the short stay ward until I was discharged. This was a very difficult and emotional time for me and my family and I was overwhelmed by the kindness and caring of all the staff I encountered during my stay - their professionalism was evident yet I never felt as if anything was too much bother for them in caring for me despite an extremely busy environment. Thank you to all involved - you are amazing.
