"Waiting far too long!"

My partner is in Treliske and has been for 11 days awaiting a heart bypass of which he has to go to Derriford who are full with no beds. He is distraught, phoning me every night in tears, they won't let him home and I am devastated what has this national health come to, why are Derriford so full, I have just looked at the calendar and realised that we have a bank holiday 2 weekends in May they never do anything at the weekends they close down and they won't do anything over the bank holidays either, how long is he going to be there because he is willing to go anywhere for his operation, London, Bristol or Derriford. he just wants it over and done with and wants to come home. We need a heart hospital here in the south west, my partner is not the only one waiting. He was also told yesterday he was on the transfer list for his operation to go to Derriford, he was also told this last week in the acute cardiac ward the left hand does not know what the right one is doing in there, it is all very well but we have now been put back another week.
