My GP phoned me last Monday and told me to go to a and e due to high potassium volume in my body 6.6. I reported to AMU and the consultant l was told to see was not available. I had to report back to a and e reception and they sent me to a waiting room, where l sat with snifflers, coughers, patients being sick. I had no problem with the nursing staff but the room was an absolute disgrace, bin overflowing, sick bowls and tissues on floor, empty coffee cups on floor, plastic drinking cups everywhere and the triage nurse doing the cleaning whilst treating patients. The next day l was throwing up sick and diarrhoea from the other end. I had caught a virus on top of the chest infection and high potassium count l was originally sent there for.
