What I liked
The staff on PICU. If you have a child who needs to go to PICU please don't be anxious or upset of the thought of it. Everyone on PICU is friendly and they always informed us on what was happening with our son. My son spent 7 weeks in hospital after he was born and 5 of those weeks were on PICU. We felt like the staff were almost family.
Our son was also on E1 - Ocean Ward and they are wonderful people. You never feel unwelcome.
What could be improved
Nothing about PICU or E1. The shops downstairs could be better. After unexpectedly staying in for as long as we did, it would have been useful to have a Boots or Superdrug there to buy the essentials that WHSmith doesn't have (or charge extortiant prices for). Its ironic that you enter the hospital and one of the main places to eat is a Burger King but there isn't anywhere to buy much needed toilitries.
The parking could be improved. Parent & child section would be great as its hard to find a space where you can comfortably get the car seat out and the buggy out. Then you have to walk around the entire car park.
