Other people may have different experiences than me, but after taking the plunge to get my hearing difficulties finally sorted, I can honestly say the Audiology (and ENT Rapid Access) teams have been amazing. The appointments have been quickly and well organised, with follow up sessions and correspondence issued timely. Within such a short space of time Hearing Aids are successfully fitted (start to finish 71 days, which I consider to be quick in the great scheme of things). I have been back for further advice and guidance using the "drop-in" clinic (using the numbered ticket dispenser). I thought I would be left in a waiting room for ages but I was only sat for about 20 mins until I was seen, which I think for such a busy hospital is fantastic. I've been seen by several different people over the past few months, but I've not felt as though I have to repeat my history to them all as the notes on the system have been kept sufficiently up to date each time. All of the people I have seen have been so nice, considerate, understanding, empathetic...well the list could go on!! In fact they have made me feel so at ease, I have had quite a good laugh with them about the whole process. I have a new lease of life back. I thank all of those people who have helped me achieve this.
