About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

From the first point of contact with the hospital until discharge I received great care at the Countess. My GP wanted to refer me to another hospital but I chose The Countess. It was harder than it should have been to get the GP Practice to change their referrals routine but iIn the end they agreed. The time and date of the initial appointment at the Countess was not right for me so I changed it. I was seen and treated efficiently. The Consultant and their colleague were polite and friendly and made me feel very comfortable and confident in them. They explained the treatment to me 'step by step' . Where I had a choice it was offered to me. They were only small things but it made a big difference to me. I was shown the ultrasound image on the screen and it was explained to me. The treatment was painless and I was helped to understand how far they had got with it from start to end. I was shown the before and after images of the injury which was also helpful. At the right time I was asked about alergies. I'm so grateful for the care I received. We have a wonderful NHS don't we? Please pass on my gratitude and thanks to everyone involved. I said, "I'll come again". They said, "We hope that you don't have to". Kind Regards Kevin
