"Brilliant treatment at Haywood Rheumatology Scotia..."

I visited due Scotia Day Care centre today for an unusual reason. I have severe blood phobia and am unable to successfully have blood tests as I get very anxious and as a result make myself Ill. After failing blood tests in the normal way I was contacted by a member of staff at the Haywood who discussed my options with me. the staff at the Haywood had recognised that I had a problem and in order to get treatment they would need to go about the blood test in a different way. This has never happened before in my life, usually there is a lack of understanding and consideration of the phobia. This member of staff made a last minute appointment which fit in with my work schedule and arranged for some medication to calm me enough to manage to go ahead with the test. The Doctor was very understanding and did everything in their power to put me at ease. They gave me the time that I needed despite quite obviously being very busy. Nothing was too much trouble and today I had a blood test which didn't result in complete mental and physical trauma. I cannot thank the staff here enough they are worth their weight in gold.
