Yesterday I went in to Orpington Hospital for an operation on my knee. From the very start the staff were lovely. The admissions ward is comfortable, calming and very organised. A bed to kip on whilst waiting I was 4th on the list and then walk down a corridor to the theatre. The anesthetists were very calming, I suffer with Panic disorder and was in a panic, they very quickly calmed me down and the next thing I knew I was waking in recovery. Your recovery suite is great waking up to see the sky and trees and luckily the sun shining is a real tonic. Again the staff were brilliant, I had a nurse virtually sit with me the whole time I was in there administering pain relief. Moving to Boddington Ward and again the same level of treatment. Great nurses a clean environment and I felt very cared for. Physio arranged all my leg brace and crutches before the op and they were at my bedside waiting. A small meal and discharged for home by 7pm. I have to say the wards are spotless, staff are informative, friendly and very caring and professional. Thank you so much for making my experience nice, as nice as an operation can be!!!
