What I liked
The nursing staff were very helpful and understanding and seemed genuinely apologetic that no-one could see me for a long time. I was rushed to the gyneoemergency ward at silly o clock in the morning in intense pain, having been transferred by an ambulance at QA. When I got there, all the staff were involved in an emergency caesarean upstairs, and although in excruciating agony, I fully understood why my examination was so delayed and do not blame anyone.
What could be improved
My one and only complaint about my visit is that I was on gas and air for over four hours, and nobody told me anything about the effect this would have on me when I got home. I was in a lot of discomfort, as my eyes were so sensitive and my pupils were huge even under bright light and I had the most terrible headaches and nausea. I might have felt better and dealt with it better if someone had explained the consequence of the treatment to me and given me some advice and I had therfore known what to expect.
Other than that I was more than satisfied with the level of care, thank you.
