I attended the hospital last October after being in a suicidal state. I was under the crisis care team who were wonderful and I can`t thank them enough for the help that they gave me. It`s not an over statement to say that had they not helped me I probably wouldn`t be alive right now. I spoke with two of the psychiatric doctors for an assessment and I was diagnosed with a dissociative disorder. Both doctors were very kind and listened very carefully. However, things have not been so good since. Despite volunteering to take part in a case study where I was asked questions by many staff members via web-cam I have not heard anything from the hospital since November of last year -2014- . I did receive four questionnaires which I completed and sent to the clinic for Aspergers. But that was in November and was told that an appointment would take six months. I have heard nothing about any appointment. Also, I have contacted my doctor through their secretary`s e-mail several times since December but I have received no replies. I have an issue with trading standards that has been caused because of my illness and they have contacted the doctor several times since December and also have received nothing from them. I know nothing about my condition other than I have a dissociative disorder and that my brain invents characters and personalities which has left me feeling confused and scared. I feel that I have been abandoned by the hospital immediately after being told of my dissociative disorder and I can`t even get them to reply to any of my communications. I know that they are very busy and that the NHS is overstretched but to leave someone with no ability to make contact after being told how ill you are in unacceptable in my opinion.
