"I am fortunate to be a patient ..."

About: Horton General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I am fortunate to be a patient under the expert care of the consultant and his excellent team.

At a time when our NHS is under scrutiny and budget pressure which I'm sure Horton is no exception, the consultant and his team have demonstarted the true value of quality care and attention. The "personal touch" which I noted from the reception staff, nurses and other support staff from day 1 is worthy of special mention. My stay in hospital which included an operation and recovery period, exposed me to other doctors, theatre staff, nursing team (The Ward) and the physiotherapy team .There is no doubt that the positive culture, quality care and consideration is consistent across all staff at The Horton. Thank you to all concerned .

What could be improved

I would find it difficult to find any area for improvement.

Anything else?

The ability for the nursing team to be able to deal with a very noisy/disruptive patient that disturbed all those in his vicinity.
