"Excellent day case surgery."

The whole process, from initial out-patient visit through the pre-op appointment to admission for day case surgery for hernia repair was well co-ordinated. The information given to me was comprehensive and all staff were friendly and professional. The long waiting time for initial out-patient appointment was probably the effect of the difficulty experienced by most hospitals being over busy. Waiting times to be seen within the hospital were good. I was very impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, including the admissions clerk, the medical staff and the nurses who dealt with the pre-op clinic and the admission for day surgery. Following the surgery I was visited, on Ward A4 by the Consultant who told me that the surgery had been successful which led me to be grateful that I could return home that evening. Now I have recovered, it is a real pleasure to be able to exercise and walk at length without discomfort. So thank you to everyone involved.
