I am a few hours post-op and as I recover at home I just had to write and thank you all. I had my first ever general anaesthetic to have four wisdom teeth removed. I was extremely nervous about this but the anaesthetists made me feel completely at ease - the last thing I remember was talking about my degree and before I knew it I was being woken up. The nursing staff on the day surgery unit were brilliant, I felt extremely well cared for before and after the surgery which helped me to relax. I was asked numerous times if I was ok, needed anything, if I was in pain, if I wanted anything else to eat etc, which was lovely. I am a student nurse and I know how hectic it can be, and I know there is sometimes not always enough time to go and chat to the patients, but this wasn't an issue on day surgery :) The surgeon was also lovely when they visited me and didn't make the op seem scary at all - just a minor and very easy procedure. Everyone from surgeons to porters were great. I would really recommend Victoria hospital. Thank you all so very much for a smooth and worry free visit.
