"One year old with high temp"

About: Colchester General Hospital

We went to our gp who ignored our concerns and ended up in a and e with our son. The staff were so caring and listened to all our concerns. The Dr took blood samples and informed us of a possible infection and informed our consultant in outpatients. Within 12hours we were contacted by a Consultant who wanted to assess him. They are the nicest Dr we have ever encountered. He was assessed and admitted with a temp of 40.3. The nurses and Dr's were superb caring for him throughout the night and putting my concerns at ease and I trusted their opinions. After a cannula, iv antibiotics and then oral antibiotics pre and post stay we are home and we feel so grateful that we were treated with such care and respect.
