"Recent left Thyroid removal"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I recently had an operation to remove my left thyroid. Before the surgery, I met the surgeon and anaesthetist before the surgery and they were very reassuring and very kind. I was collected for my operation by one of the scrub nurses and then handed over to the anaesthetist's supervisor. Whilst recovering in D8, the care I received was second to none. Everyone from the surgeon down to the people that bring you fresh water daily were brilliant, couldn't fault anyone. Please pass on my thanks to all who cared for me.
