"Helpful people - Terrible toilet provision"

About: Corbett Hospital

Both my appointments were handle efficiently and helpfully. I was give clear information - both verbally and in writing - about my condition and the options for treatment. Also, the reception staff were very helpful on the phone when I had to call them because the automated system for rescheduling appointments (01384 365100) was stuck in a loop and not responding to me pressing phone buttons. My one criticism: I was amazed to find that in the centre that includes the Urology department, there is only one public toilet, for which, as far as I could tell, there were always substantial queues.

Thank you, Tom, for taking the time to post your feedback about your experience when visiting Corbett Outpatient Centre. Communicating with our patients and keeping them fully involved and informed in their care is very important, and so we are really pleased that you felt all aspects of your treatment and visit were explained to you. Corbett has one male and female toilet in main reception and there are many more toilets throughout the rest of the building. We are bound by the Buildings Regulations to ensure there are sufficient toilets and hand washing facilities for public and staff across our three hospitals but of course demand for toilets varies throughout the day. We have passed your comments onto the team involved in your care and have raised the problems you experienced calling the Booking Line with the Outpatient Booking Team.
