"After 2 return journeys finally received the prescription"

About: NHS Telford and Wrekin CCG Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I attended Woodside Health Centre for an appointment with an eye specialist. On arrival there was nobody at the reception desk. A lady was waiting for attention (she appeared to be a bit frustrated). After a few minutes a receptionist appeared and dealt with this lady (who appeared to be a medical person as she had a doctors case with her). The receptionist then disappeared into an office. She did not even acknowledge me. I rang the bell and after a few minutes two receptionists appeared. I showed one my appointment letter and was asked to take a seat. Shortly after I was called to my appointment being met by the specialist.

I had a quick eye examination the first said one eye was worse than the other (which I knew because this was what the appointment was for! ) He did not explain anything about the condition then continued to write out a prescription then invited me to return in 3 month’s time. I then took prescription to chemist who informed me that they could not give me, as it did not have my name on it. Returning to the health centre having to wait. On returning to the chemist it was noticed that the date was also wrong. So after 2 return journeys finally received the prescription.
