"ruined experience"

My experience went from good to bad. I was booked in to be induced on the wed, where i would of been 14 days overdue but luckily i managed to get in 3 days early. as a first time mum i was terrified about giving birth let alone being induced as i knew the expereanc my mother had. The whole time in was there i only once had a midwife who didnt cause me severe pain when preforming an internal examination, sevarel other women on the ward also comented on one in particular who was extremely rough, both of whom had already given birth before. Due to never dialating i ended up having a C-Section and i have to say the team were amazing and really put me at ease, the only thing was my daughter was never placed on me stright after birth, which contributed to me having problems bonding with my child. the problems started after the birth, we had to wait over 2hours to get back up to the ward and after that we were both left with no support and not seeing a single midwife till it was time for my other half to leave. Which was very difficult as we were both brand new overwhelmed parents. I was then informed that i was not aloud to eat till the following day, the last time i ate was half 9 in the morning and had barely eaten anything during my stay as the food wasnt to my taste. So i went 24hrs with no food. After this i had problems with feeding and contacting tge midwife team as i managed to drop my buzzer and couldnt reach it as i was still unable to move from the operation. When i did ask a midwife whether they could pass me my baby changing bag they acted like it was a burden. Also my pad wasnt changed until the following morning at 11 and i didnt recive any pain relief until the same time, i didnt even know i was ment to recive some. I also repeatedly asked to have the needle removed from my hand as i kept knocking it and it was bleeding, i still have a mark 4months on. Also when i was moved to another part of the ward my catheter pulled apart which caused a stinning pain, which i comented on and was told pain is normal after a C-Section, the pain from the catheter was alot worse. It also completely wet my bed, i finally got the catheter removed but upon returning to my bed i didnt have a blanket, and continued to not have one until i was discarged the following night. I was told so many diffrent things for breastfeeding that i became stressed and overwelmed but i did have some nice young midwives who suggested combination feeding, which i recived very little support in doing from the night staff. The one person who did help was wonderful and could tell i was stressed and got me some formula and gave me morthine, which i also didnt know i could have, so that i could get some sleep. The next day the doctor and midwife checked me and said i could go home that day. That was in the morning, by mid afternoon i was getting inpatient, we ended up being left to the night staff who had no idea what was going on, we were discarged at 9.30pm in 2oC weather.
