"nothing"

About: Torbay Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

nothing

What could be improved

staff should listen to what a patient says, answer positively , not negatively, if they are not allowed to to do what has been asked by a patient , they should say , i cant do that , but i can find a member of staff who can , not dismiss a patient, saying all is in hand when it wasnt, patients shouldnot be patronised, by being called "darling", every time they were addressed.

Anything else?

eau4 unit is no better than being in the corridor in a&e

We would regret that you felt that you were not listened to, or addressed, in the way you would have wanted. We notice that you gave us a score of four out of five for treating you with respect and hope that this means that, although you have some criticisms, generally you were happy. We are, though, raising your issues with the ward. However, we would recommend that any concerns are brought to the attention of the ward manager at the time so they can be properly understood and dealt with promptly. We are sorry to hear that you did not feel that EAU4 (our emergency assessment unit) environment was better than waiting in A&E; this is not the feedback that we have received from other patients who prefer to be on a ward with a dedicated team of doctors speeding their diagnosis and treatment.
