What I liked
i visited my nan in hospital a few months ago as she was taken ill. i was asked by a nurse can i feed my nan as they did not have time to do this. As my nan was quite poorly i did wonder wheather she would have been fed if i was not there!
this does seem to be a regular thing as she then got transfered to a community hospital and the same thing happened then. i went to see my nan on my luch break of half an hour so did not have time to feed her. but surly its their jobs to do this.
she passed away a month later. bless her.
What could be improved
more staff so they could feed the elderly and set lunch times so more nurses are around to help feed. could ask volunteers to come and feed the elderly.
but her general care was ok.
