I was supposed to have an Antenatel scan today at the Southmead ANC. There is a clear note in my book to state the time and date of the appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early to be advised that there was no clinic today and that they would not be open again for 4 days. The shear incompetance of the receptionist who booked me the appointment is shocking. When will I be scanned now? Disgusting!

Dear Anonymous – thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your views of the Maternity Service. I am very sorry that due to an administrative error you were incorrectly invited to attend clinic. Please contact the number on the clinic letter if you have not already done so to obtain a new clinic date. I do appreciate attending clinic can be a stressful experience and I apologise for the distress and anxiety you have been caused. Your comments have been shared with the clinic administrators so they can be aware of the effects of the error and learn from the issue.
