My son was admitted to the Children's Hospital in late December whilst on holiday from Australia. He had a brain tumour removed on new years eve. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the level and quality of care afforded to my son, myself, my wife and his brother was truly excellent. The surgical team and nursing staff were absolutely fantastic, not only true professionals in terms of their medical expertise but also in terms of their communications with patients and parents. My son was visited by at least one member of the surgical team every day of his stay but on most days it was four or five members. The surgeon in change of my sons operation, the doctor was fantastic a professional in every respect. The facilities were exceptional - accommodation, patients room, parents room, tv, play station, kitchen facilities. Coming from Australia everything was made as easy as possible, no bureaucracy, no forms to fill (except for the operation) no questions about insurance, Accommodation was arranged for us in the Ronald McDonald House on site on arrival with nothing for us to do other than collect the key to our room. It really is hard to think how anything could be improved.
"Excellent care, excellent staff, excellent..."
