What I liked
I had telephoned NHS Direct around 11pm one weekday after experiencing an allergic skin reaction to a product which anithistamine tablets had failed to reduce. After establishing that I did not need an emergency ambulance, NHS Direct told me a nurse would call me back - in two hours! Instead I walked the five minutes to Chippenham Hospital Minor Injuries Unit where I was seen very promptly and treated immediately (although there was no serious danger or injury). An hour before NHS Direct would have returned my call I was back at home.
What could be improved
Nothing - the staff were excellent, I was promptly seen, treated sympathetically and effectively. The only thing which could have been improved was the service from NHS Direct (who failed to respond to my online complaint)!
