About: The New Selby War Memorial Hospital

So I have just been to Selby war memorial minor injuries, got there to meet an receptionist shouting at someone down the phone and been very rude and the one we spoke to did not know how to smile I don't think. We got told that we could only see a nurse as GP appointments you had to ring up and book. We waited to see a nurse, while we were waiting the receptionist was moaning about how unprofessional someone was, there was people just stood doing nothing for the 30 mins we were sat there and one receptionist telling the whole of the waiting room that they were unhappy!! the nurse was lovely but could not give us any more information than we already knew, the nurse was not able to get a doctor for a second opoinion or nothing, but don't get me wrong the nurse was lovely. Apparently the nurses and doctors work seperatley now, so when you walk into the minor injury unit you ethier have to ring 111 for an appointment or just wait and see a nurse who can't talk to a doctor anywaysThe new system is pretty useless and that's the vibe I got from all the staff moaning and complaining! Was a fantastic minor injuries unit, would recommend it to anyone but now I have major doubts! You might as well go to York as its a waste of time to go there now! I found the receptionist staff very unprofessional, rude and not helpful one bit, the nurse was lovely though. I'll be going to York next time I need medical help, as this journey was a waste of time!
