"Total Hip Replacement"

I spent christmas in the duchy hospital having a full hip replacement. Not something one would choose to do! However, I cannot stress enough how different this whole experience was in regard to my first hip replacement, on the opposite side, six years ago, at a different hospital. At the Duchy, my care was the best. The Consultant visited me twice, as did the anesthetist. The nurses are exceptional, the food good and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. I shared my accommodation with another lady and i found her company most uplifting, especially when you are both in the same position! You can commiserate and encourage each other. Both our husbands joined us for christmas lunch. In, fact, one of my most restful stressless christmases I have ever spent! I would not hesitate to use this hospital again. In fact, I would insist upon it!
