"Queen's Medical Centre Campus"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I had to visit a&e last sunday night and as someone with health anxiety and who wasin midst of a stressful situation I fel as at ease as possible. I felt safe and though it was difficult environment to be in with staff having to deal with some difficult and distressed patients, all were professional, and ensured a calm remained across the department. I was spoken to at one point by a nurse who showed a true vocation, they could see my distress and took time to speak to me and encouraged me to stay until seen by a doctor. My fiance and I left reassured and thankful for the service we received from all staff. It must be an incredibly stressful job and I hope, where appropriate they reap rewards in thanks from people like myself.

Thank you for such kind comments. Our staff in the Emergency Department do an exceptional job, very often in very difficult and challenging circumstances. It’s great to hear that staff made you feel cared for and safe during your recent visit. We have shared your comments with our team in ED. We hope you have made a speedy recovery.
