"Hysteroscopy procedure"

About: Warrington Hospital / Cardiology Warrington Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Patient informed nurse that previously this couldn't be done due to scar tissue

On the day of procedure wasn't able to carry out hysteroscopy due to scarring. Waste of time. We had previously been informed if unable to do would be done with general. However nurse on this day suggested scan in 6 weeks and not to do it under General.

I was left in fear I might have cancer

I went to go who contacted Mr Holland as to why not carrying out with a general

After verbal complaint by my daughter. I was fitted in for another scan. At this appointment it had been noted on my file that I had been fast tracked. Note if I had waited for the scan rescheduled 6 weeks later this would have gone past the fast track date.

Also had ECG which found heart murmur. Tried to find out the results and was informed Mr Holland would discuss prior to hysteroscopy op under general

This didn't happen. the nurse / sister doing the pre pop assessment said their was abnormalities on the heart scan. The registrar said ok to go ahead with hysteroscopy that day. Since then I have tried to get results of heart scan to no avail.

Communication is appalling within gyn dept. . I received conflicting information and nothing as yet has been put in writing. I don't have faith in warrington hospital as are passed from one dept to another trying to get result information

It has been a frightening experience that our lives are entrusted in a system that is obviously not working

I made numerous phonecalls to gyn dept where I spoke with secretaries
