What I liked

first experience of Derriford hospital was 4yrs ago when I began treatment for prostate cancer I found the staff very helpful and caring during my 7wks of radiotherapy treatment. 2nd experience was 2yrs ago when I had a major op. for bowel cancer after which I had some post op.probs.inc. a heart prob.and my expected stay of 5 days was extended to 15 days however all the probs. were addressed and sorted out with great care and attention and my after care has been excellent, my health is now fine, my most grateful thanks to the doctor and all of his team. What could be improved

whilst having chemo.I had to take my prescription for drugs from oncology to the pharmacy on the other side of the hospital quite a walk when you are not well and then take them all the way back to

oncology to be checked?? surely the pharmacy can be trusted to give you the right prescription.this procedure used to add an hour

on to my visit.

also the oncology patients only car park was often full by non oncology patients using it. surely a parking by appointment card only system could be introduced, its no fun driving around trying to park when you are having daily treatment for 7 weeks? Brian.
