Whilst touring the Wirral my grandson developed acute tonsillitis. On arrival was unable to use car park as entrance to such far too small for caravan, therefore parked along side the walk in centre, my son and grandson went in to get urgent treatment for a 7 year old boy foaming at the mouth and crying uncontrollably. The receptionist refused to register him, till such time the caravan was moved. I moved caravan over the kerbs into car park and went in to reception. upon the triage nurse checking him we were informed it would be a couple of hours before he would be seen, we arrived at 5.45 pm and where last to be seen at approx 9.40pm. Where the Doctor consulting him asked if we where travellers. During this time I sat in the car park watching the road where I initially parked, and during this time nothing whatsoever passed, there was no obstruction caused, bearing in mind this was a Saturday night and apart from the walk in centre all else seemed shut. Upon receiving his prescription, we had a mad dash round the town to find a pharmacy, namely ASDA some distance away. Disgusted at my grandsons treatment and will follow up this review with a written complaint. RE receptionist and the general standard of the triage nurse and the doctors question, which in my view labelled us gypsy's and accounted for the attitude of staff and the time scale to get him treated, which in my view was totally unaceptable
