I don't put pen to paper very often but I felt honour bound to comment. During September 2013 to March 2014 I had four operations and a series of day visits to Shrewsbury Royal Hospital and every employee who attended and nursed me from reception up to the specialist, I was impressed buy their dedication and professionalism nothing was too much trouble and I always felt they were interested and wanted the best for me especially all personnel in Ward 26U over the four times I was in. I was impressed buy the consistency of their efforts during the shifts, 12 hours is it? no-one hung around, they earned their money alright. During that time and the months afterwards if I or my wife had a query phoning a specialist, one nurse was always available for consultation and took time out to phone and advise us, fitting us in as soon as was possible, we owe them, the consultant and all the staff on Ward 26U a great debt. They are all a credit to themselves, their families and of course the NHS. What would we do without this great organisation and the people who serve in it. Mr Atherton Thank you for your kind comments regarding the care you received and the staff that have looked after you during your care in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital which I will happily pass on to the ward manager on ward 26u to share with her staff Di Davis Patient Advice and Liaison Service Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust
