"Breast cancer clinic"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I was recently called in for a routine mammogram as part of the local early screening program. I was called back in as a result and obviously very concerned. This was tempered by a very short wait (4 days) for the follow up appointment. The care on this occasion was excellent with every aspect well explained including repeat mammogram, US and biopsy. The way they dealt with both myself and my partner was excellent. The delightful surprise of the "all clear" call by the breast care nurse within 5 days, avoiding a follow-up visit was a moment I will never forget. Whilst it was obviously a stressful couple of weeks, I cannot fault the care. I was also left feeling, had the outcome been less good, I was in safe hands.
